New Grant Supports Outreach and Awareness-building for Covid-19 Vaccine

The Lake County COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach Grant will provide microgrants of up to $1,500 to support coordinated campaigns to increase education and promotion around COVID-19 vaccination. Awarded projects must focus on specific programs and initiatives intended to increase COVID-19 vaccine access, acceptance, and uptake among Lake County, Indiana residents.

Priority will be given to projects that prioritize:

  • Racial and ethnic minority communities
  • Communities that are seeing low vaccination turnout, as identified by Indiana Department of Health data.
  • Legacy Foundation invites proposals from 501(c)3 organizations, including municipalities, schools, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations.

Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, public education, marketing campaigns, special events, and mobilizing, specifically aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine access, acceptance, and uptake. Creative and innovative ideas are encouraged, especially those used to engage traditionally hard-to-reach populations, or using new and culturally relevant outreach and education methods.

Application deadline: 5:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
