Gavin Gescheidler, salesman at Thomas KIA of Highland shared the inside scoop about the all-new, 2023 Kia Carnival Van. Bringing tons of awesome amenities that buyers will be eager to check out, the van has a lot to offer.
“The Carnival has been a top seller since it came out, just like the Telluride,” said Gescheidler. “The vehicle nearly sells itself.”
The Kia Carnival Van is loaded with features and many other accessories that make the driving experience incredible. The van includes tri-zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, ventilated driver and passenger seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, wireless phone charger, and heated and ventilated second-row captain chairs. It also comes with a surround-view monitor, backup camera, forward collision avoidance, rear cross collision avoidance, two functional sunroofs, smart power liftgate, and leather seats.
In addition to the usual local commutes, the van is also perfect for long-distance road trips. With features to keep any and all passengers comfortable, the Kia Carnival Van is a great option for travelers. It has a 12.3-inch touch screen display, Bose sound system, LED headlights and taillights, digital gauge cluster, cruise control with stop-go assist, and nine USB chargers. The van gets 19 miles per gallon in the city, 26 miles on the highway, and an average of 22 miles all around. A full tank will get you between 400 to 420 miles, and the engine is a 3.5L V6.
This vehicle handles well as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with good suspension and sharp turning capabilities.
“The handing is 10 out of 10 in my opinion. The evolution from the Kia Sedona to the Kia Carnival is breathtaking,” said Gescheidler. “The first time I drove a Kia Carnival I was blown away. It handles the same – if not better – than the Kia Telluride. For the size of the Carnival, you would imagine it feels big, but it does not feel that way at all; it almost feels like you are just driving an SUV.”
The SUV-like van gets its MPV name from its smooth driving abilities, offering the space of a larger vehicle without the feeling of all that weight behind it.
“The suspension is great; not too stiff, but also not too soft. You do not feel every bump, and it takes curbs very well,” said Gescheidler. “The steering is extremely smooth, and you do not need to give much force when making a turn.”
The warranty offered from Thomas KIA is a five-year 60k mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 10-year 100k mile powertrain warranty, and a five-year 60k mile roadside assistance warranty. In addition to the Kia factory warranty, Thomas KIA offers customers a lifetime powertrain warranty that covers the engine, transmission, and drivetrain of the vehicle for the lifetime you own it.
According to Gescheidler, the van starts right around $36,000. For him personally, he finds it to be an awesome, all-purpose family option that he would happily purchase.
“If I had a family with two or more kids, the answer would be hands down yes I would buy this van. I am just too young right now and have no need for a third-row vehicle,” said Gescheidler. “I would absolutely buy a Carnival for myself in the future. I love the look, power, amenities, space, warranty, and how comfortable it is.”
