National Night Out Against Crime is an annual event that encourages residents to get out in the community and get to know their fellow residents as a way to encourage crime prevention. It’s a great way to promote community-police partnerships and enjoy a summer evening surrounded by community leaders, neighbors, family and friends.
Tuesday, August 5th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Hobart High School, 2211 E. 10th St., the City of Hobart along with the School City of Hobart, Hobart Police and Hobart Fire Departments are sponsoring an evening of educational demonstrations, displays, concessions, music and fun.
Demonstrations by Hobart K9 Unit, Northwest Regional SWAT, Hobart Fire Department and Lake County Sheriff helicopter. On display will be police cars, public safety utility vehicles, fire trucks and equipment. Free child identification cards and car seat inspections will be available.
Bounce houses, face painting and free food for children under 18 years old. Concessions and bake sale available for the purchase.
Free concert by The Crawpuppies from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. & fireworks at dusk in the Hobart High School Brickyard.
