“#MyStrength” chosen as theme for 6th Annual All About the Girls

Strength is muscle and grit. It is perseverance, mental tenacity, and courage. Strength is also unlimited empathy, kindness in the face of challenges, and caring for others above yourself. On September 16, 2021, Six regional women will share their inspirational stories about strength at the fabulous Urschel Pavilion in a night not to be missed.

Regardless of how you define strength, you’re going to hear a variety of strength-centered stories at the 6th Annual All About the Girls (AATG) event returning on September 16, 2021 under the Urschel Pavilion located at Central Park Plaza in downtown Valparaiso. GreatNews.Life will be bringing together some of the strongest women in Northwest Indiana for a night of laughter, fun, and inspiration all built around the subject, #MyStrength.

The cherished tradition, spearheaded by GreatNews.Life Executive Director Jenny Craig-Brown, brings hundreds of women and men within the Region together for an evening of uplifting stories and empowering life lessons, flanked by a great company, a party-like atmosphere, delicious food, tasty drinks and cocktails.

“I chose #MyStrength as a theme for 2021 because I really wanted to celebrate the women who have been successful in discovering their inner strengths. As we move through a pandemic, this topic is even more relevant,” Craig-Brown said. “Inevitably, we have huge laughs, a few tears, and those gripping, poignant moments of silence during AATG where you know that everyone in the room is captivated by the strength that is coming from the podium. I can’t wait to see how that plays out at our 6th annual event.”

Chris Mahlmann, Founder of GreatNews.Life, said this year’s theme is fitting, considering the recent transition to an entirely women-led team with Craig-Brown taking over as Executive Director and two women senior leaders working with her to operate the company day to day.

“There is a reason women lead our company, and strength and resilience have a lot to do with that,” Mahlmann said. “When I reflect on the strong women in my life – especially my wife, Natalie – I am in awe of what they have accomplished. Jenny has taken the reins on this event since its inception, and I am more than happy to continue hosting an event that uplifts and celebrates the strong women throughout the Region. Women leading and learning from each other is Great News.”

In the coming weeks, GreatNews.Life will be announcing the event’s speakers, who encompass #MyStrength! This event has sold out in past years, so be sure to get tickets early, if you have not already! Tickets can be purchased here.
