Munster Qualified 11 for the National Speech and Debate Association District Competition

Munster High SchoolMunster High School competed at the (NSDA) National Speech and Debate Association District Competition on March 4 at Plymouth High School. Ten area high schools competed for a chance to qualify for the NSDA (NFL) National Tournament to be held on June 17-24 in Birmingham, Alabama. The District allows for the top two finishers to advance to Nationals; whereas, there are a total of 16 potential slots.

The 11 students are joining the debate national qualifiers Anna Whitney (Senior)- Lincoln Douglas Debate and Jaclyn Webber (Sophomore), - Congressional Debate in June. Debate held their national qualifier on January 28 at Plymouth.

Munster qualified 11 of the 16 total Northern Indiana speech bids to the National Tournament. Plymouth High School qualified 4 and Valparaiso qualified 1. One more exciting week of prep for the State Finals.
