The Munster Mustangs Esports team cordially invites the public to the grand opening of the Munster Esports Arena.
The Munster Mustangs Esports team is a video game club at Munster High School that also competes in esports competitions. Currently the club has 41 students competing across 4 different games including: League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. The esports arena has been built with 16 computers built for gaming, a Xbox One, and a Nintendo Switch.
The objective of a gaming club is not only to play video games, but to increase the interaction of different groups of students. The Video Game/Esports Club promotes a model for positive gaming interaction in our community, and builds character in students, specifically by developing life skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and communication as well as providing a safe and inclusive environment for all students. In addition to gaming, esports actively recruits business managers, marketing team members, journalists, video production students, data analysts, web developers, and more.
The public is invited to the grand opening of the Munster Esports Arena on Thursday, April 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please enter through the main entrance of the High School.
