Munster High School Senior, Khavand Peddi, was recently selected as one of Lake County’s 6 Lilly Scholarship winners. The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program was created to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and prospective scholars are judged based upon their academic performance, character, financial need, essays, and by way of an interview.
The Lilly scholarship covers four years of undergraduate tuition, plus a book stipend, to any Indiana college or university. While reflecting on this achievement Khavand was quick to say that he believes that Munster High School has prepared him for future college success in part because of its academic rigor as well as the numerous extracurricular activities that he was able to participate in such as DECA and project X. He is extremely grateful to have received the Lilly Scholarship and plans to attend Indiana University Bloomington to study Information Systems and Business Analytics in the fall.
He was attracted to IU because of the beautiful campus, and the prestigious Kelley School of Business. Munster High School is a proud of his accomplishments and wishes him the best as he move onto the next chapter of his life.
