Motorcycle runs around the Region

Motorcycle runs around the Region

Ever hear a loud rumbling for an extended amount of time in the summer? In most cases, this is the result of hundreds of motorcycles revving down a local street. There are many different types of motorcycle events and runs that happen all around the Region. These gatherings are a great way to raise money and awareness for non-profit organizations and charities while also getting involved in the community and making great friends in the process.

Most motorcycle runs feature further entertainment options at the destination location such as live music, motorcycle or car shows, auctions, raffles, vendors, etc. These unique events require a large amount of planning, organization and community involvement in order to create the best atmosphere possible for riding participants. It’s common to sign up for a certain motorcycle run in advance with fellow riders who are interested in the event, however, if you aren’t signing up with others, don’t fret! Runs are a great opportunity to meet community members who have the same interests as you do all while supporting a great cause.

“About 90% of the bike runs are aimed to raise money and awareness for causes that effect people deeply. When you see a community come together to help causes like this, it makes you feel amazing knowing you are part of it. I can probably speak for over half the bikers I know when I say that we’ve met 80% of our friends through attending charitable rides,” said Johnny Boersma, local motorcycle rider.

Below are upcoming motorcycle runs happening around the Region this summer. In most cases, it is a good idea to sign up or register in advance in order to plan for the happenings of the event such as preparing for the distance of the run and locating gas stations along the way ahead of time, as well as food and water. Registration and Waiver form signings are also available at check-in the day of the run.
