Hobart High School hosted wrestling regionals this Saturday. The schools that attended are as follows: East Chicago Central, Hammond Clark, Hammond Gavit, Merrillville, Munster, Whiting, Andrean, Calumet, Griffith, Highland, Hobart, Lake Station Edison, Portage, River Forest. Merrillville ended up taking the win by one point, with a score of 191 points.
East Chicago Central placed fourteenth with a score of 7 points. Calumet and Whiting tied for twelfth with a score of 8. Hammond Clark placed eleventh with a score of 11. Andrean placed tenth with a score of 17. Munster placed ninth with a score of 19. Griffith placed eighth with a score of 28. Lake Station Edison placed seventh with a score of 36. Hammond Gavit placed sixth with a score of 37. River Forest placed fifth with a score of 44.5. Highland placed fourth with a score of 49. Portage placed third with a score of 170.5. Hobart placed second with a score of 190. And finally, winning by one point was Merrillville with a score of 191.
