Marram Health still serving patients during stay-at-home order, also offering telemedicine

Marram Health Center would like to reassure the community that as an essential service, we will remain open during the stay-at-home order issued by Governor Holcomb. Current patients and new patients are welcome to schedule services at either location. The Gary location will be open from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Hebron will be open from 8:30 am through 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 am through 2:00 pm on Fridays. These hours will be in effect through April 30th.

In order to protect patients and staff, the organization is taking multiple precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of those they serve. Precautions include, but are not limited to:

  • Arranging for telephone visits whenever possible;
  • Conducting screenings for COVID-19 symptoms prior to in-person appointments;
  • Asking patients not to arrive more than five minutes prior to appointment times;
  • Continuing to thoroughly clean each exam room between patients;
  • Implementing additional cleaning protocols to ensure high-traffic areas receive frequent cleaning;
  • Rescheduling nonessential visits.

This list is not exhaustive of the measures being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff. Additionally, precautions will be updated as the CDC and Indiana State Department of Health update their guidelines.

“We are working diligently to continue providing outstanding care to our patients in the safest way possible,” said Clarence Boykin, Vice President of Marram Health Center. “We want to reassure our patients that we are doing what we can to responsibly serve you during this time.”

Patients with medical needs or questions are encouraged to call their nearest Marram Health Center location for services.
