Marram Health Center Hosts Back to School Event in 2017

Marram-HCIt might seem like the school year just ended, but it’s never too early to think about the upcoming year’s physicals and immunizations. Marram Health Center will be holding a Back to School event from June 26 to August 12. During this time, families scheduling appointments for school and sports physicals will receive a free backpack with school supplies, while supplies last.

Marram’s Dr. Douge Barthelemy said school physicals are an important preventative measure.

“It’s crucial for children to receive comprehensive physicals,” said Dr. Barthelemy. “These exams reduce the likelihood of injury and help identify any serious medical conditions.”

Immunizations are one important part of school physicals. Families are encouraged to stay up-to-date on their immunizations.

According to the World Health Organization, vaccines prevent more than 2.5 million deaths each year.

The Marram staff can help families identify the recommended immunizations for every age. Marram also participates in Vaccines for Children, a program that provides vaccines for free to eligible children. To schedule appointments for physicals or immunizations, call 219-806-3000.
