Marram Health Center has always been an avid supporter of enhancing the quality of life for the communities it serves, which includes keeping smiles happy and bright. This is why the health center has recently expanded its dental services to its Hebron location, where those in the southernmost portion of Porter County and surrounding areas can now experience its comprehensive dental care just a quick drive away.
The decision came about when the Marram team saw the prominence of providing dental care to small towns and rural communities. Those living in these areas may be a ways away from the dental resources they need, which can pose a challenge to maintaining good dental health. However, having these resources right in their hometown removes these hurdles and gives them the relieving opportunity to address any concerns as soon as they appear.
“It was identified that Hebron needed more dental options as many residents were having to go outside of the community to receive treatment and services,” said Director Jodi Ortiz. “We felt that Marram Health Center could help to fill that gap, so when we expanded our office in 2023 to include more exam rooms, we also added three operatories to care for our community’s dental health.”
These dental services will be the same that are currently offered at its Gary location, which includes dental check-ups, cleanings, x-rays, tooth removal, dentures, and emergency care. Whether it’s a regular check up or a concern that needs immediate attention, the Hebron community can turn to Marram knowing their teeth are in good hands.
“Our dental team is very compassionate and always wants to make sure that everyone they see is comfortable,” Ortiz said. “They work together and strive to make sure all patients understand their treatment and are equipped with the information to enhance their dental health.”
This patient-centered team includes Dentist Jihan Doss, DMD, MPH, and Dental Hygienist Tiffany Ballard, LDH. Together, they work hand in hand with the rest of the team to ensure a patient has everything they need to maintain good dental health before, during, and after each visit.
“Dr. Doss and Tiffany work together to ensure that all patients receive quality care,” Ortiz said. “Communication is very important, and they work closely with one another regarding patient care and needs as well as educating our patients about the importance of preventative care and regular dental visits.”
Being able to serve the Hebron community in this capacity is a badge of honor Marram proudly wears. The team enjoys helping the town be a prominent healthcare provider, and adding dental services to the mix allows the team to extend that quality care even further to the area.
