Local Girl Chooses Donations for St. Jude House Over Birthday Gifts

Madisyn Wimple, a young girl who just turned nine on October 30, decided to collect donations for St. Jude House rather than receive birthday gifts of her own for the third year running.

Madisyn has been collecting these donations in lieu of birthday gifts since her seventh birthday, on which she took donations only from her party guests. Then, when she turned eight, she expanded the project to her entire subdivision. This year, she wanted the whole community to participate, and reached out to local schools, businesses, friends, and family members for support.

St. Jude House is amazed by the generosity and initiative of this young girl. Madisyn is truly an inspiration for people of all ages, and is a fantastic example of the great impact a little bit of giving can make.
