Now through November 22, eleven local celebrities have agreed to put themselves up for adoption to raise awareness and funds for the animals of Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA).
Each celebrity has been placed for adoption on the Munster-based organization’s website at www.hscalumet.org/adoptaceleb.asp and will solicit donations to help raise the adoption fee of $1,000.
“We’re grateful that these prominent members of our community are donating their time and resources to support homeless animals,” HSCA CEO Rachel Delaney expressed. “With this fundraiser, we hope to raise both awareness about the importance of adopting a shelter pet and funds to care for the 400 homeless animals at HSCA.”
Participating celebrities include:
Michael B. Brown, Lake County Recorder
John Buncich, Lake County Sherriff
Rachel Delaney, CEO of Humane Society Calumet Area
