Legacy Foundation 2016 Scholarship Opportunities

Legacy-Foundation-2016-Schalrship-OpportunitesLegacy Foundation is seeking enthusiastic individuals to help select bright Lake County high school students to receive the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship! Committee members will review applications, conduct interviews with high school applicants, and nominate six students to receive the Lilly Endowment Scholarship and represent Lake County!

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program
Lilly Endowment believes that “education at all levels is indispensable to the personal, civic and economic well-being of Indiana’s residents and communities.” In 2016 six (6) full-tuition scholarships will be awarded to students attending high school in Lake County, Indiana, to pursue a baccalaureate degree at any public or private Indiana college or university.

Must live in Lake County, Indiana
Minimum Bachelor's Degree
Good communication
Attentive listener
Ability to recognize uniqueness
Create a comfortable interview environment
Must not be related to applicant(s)
Must sign our Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, and Confidentiality Agreements

Time Commitment
Tuesday, February 16, 8:30 am-5 pm
Wednesday, February 17, 8:30 am-5 pm
Thursday, February 18, 8:30 am-5 pm
Plus, approximately 5-10 hours online review of applications

Submit applications to sit on the Lilly Scholarship Committee to Jodi Kateiva by February 3, 2016.

Joseph Trent Morrow - Urban League of NWI Scholarship Applications Due March 16!
The Joseph T. Morrow Urban League of Northwest Indiana, Inc. Scholarship was established to enable students from Hammond, Gary, and East Chicago to pursue educational dreams that they might have believed unattainable.

Current high school senior of a NWI high school and a resident of Gary, East Chicago, or Hammond, Indiana
Must be attending Indiana University Bloomington or Indiana University Northwest
Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
