Ashley Dickinson, CEO of La Porte Hospital, provides keen insight on the role of a community-based hospital in La Porte, and how the hospital has served as an epicenter of health for the community for more than 40 years. At 2 ½ years into the CEO role, Dickinson has already overseen the planning, groundbreaking, and now construction of the new $125 million La Porte Hospital that will open in 2020, and has spearheaded the recruitment of more than 30 new medical providers to La Porte and Starke Counties. (She also serves as CEO of Starke Hospital in Knox). Dickinson holds a master’s degrees in Health Administration and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University. She is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
