Latitude Commercial celebrates 10th anniversary at Annual Holiday Party

It was a night to remember for Latitude Commercial as they hosted their Annual Holiday Party and 10th anniversary. The Latitude team, as well as clients both past and present, came together at Crown Point’s Tavern on Main to celebrate the year gone by.

Latitude Commercial is a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm that focuses on Northwest Indiana and the South Chicago suburbs. Their clients cover a wide range of businesses and other organizations in communities across the Region. The holiday party always served as a way to thank those clients for a year of success, but with this year being Latitude’s 10th anniversary, they wanted to make it extra special.

“We decided that we wanted to help out some of the charities that make Northwest Indiana great,” said Aaron McDermott, President of Latitude Commercial. “It’s a way for us to give back to the community that’s done so much for us over the years. At the end of the day, this is the region that helped raise me. We want to help make Northwest Indiana a better place for everyone to live.”

This month, Latitude is running a donation drive collecting new or gently used coats and gift cards for the Salvation Army and St. Jude House. Party attendees brought piles of coats and funds for the two nonprofits with them to the celebration, where team members were on hand to thank them for their contributions.

“Partners like Latitude are important on many levels,” said Kevin D. Feldman, Director of Development for the Salvation Army of Lake County. “There’s always a need for these kinds of items in the wintertime, we can never have enough. Plus, helping us at an event like this party unites people who might not know a lot about what we do at the Salvation Army. We’re famous for our bell ringers, but they’re there to help us with all of our other programs year-round.”

Giving back is a fundamental part of what makes Latitude what it is, according to Myles Rapchak, Principal/Vice President who recently became a full partner and co-owner at the firm.

“It’s a huge thing for us,” he said. “Both personally and as a company, we think it’s so important to be out in the community, we really enjoy it. Especially around Christmas time, it’s important to give to those less fortunate.”

Cade Weiler, Associate at Latitude Commercial, joined the firm in July saw the celebration and donation drive as a great way to tie the ribbon on the company’s biggest year yet.

“We’ve done well this year and we’re looking forward to 2020,” Weiler said. “We just wanted to have as many people here as possible so that we could give back and say thank you.”
