After long consideration and a little nudge from his adorable granddaughters, Lakeside CEO, Mark Chamberlain, has decided to put on his dancing shoes to raise money for the Duneland Family YMCA. Mark will join several other local businessmen and women for this year’s Dancing Like the Stars benefit, Saturday, November 4 at the Blue Chip Casino.
“Is there really any better way to support a great organization than getting out on the dance floor,” asks Chamberlain? “Last year, Cory Helmbrecht, an advisor here at Lakeside, participated in the event. Our entire team came out to support him and the Y. It became a team building event for us, very fun and very philanthropic. When I was asked to participate this year, I couldn’t say no.”
The night of November 4 Chamberlain hopes to dance his way around competitors like Heather Ennis, JD Williamson, Kevin Zeck and more. Each dancer has been hard at work, practicing for their “Spies That Love the Y” themed performances.
Mark’s adorable granddaughters have begun a campaign to rally votes for their “Chiefie.” Check out the video below and make sure to follow Mark’s dancing journey on Facebook and Twitter Lakeside Wealth Management.
In addition to the amazing performances, the event offers a live and silent auction, and dinner and dancing after the show. Ticket can be purchased by visiting the Duneland YMCA website. Votes for individual dancers can also be purchased through the site; www.dunelandymca.org. Proceeds from Dancing Like the Stars help to ensure that programs and services at the Duneland Family YMCA remain available to all.
