Being a part of the Schererville community for over 50 years, the congregation has grown to include more than 450 people from over 100 families in the Northwest Indiana region.

With the church steadily growing in recent years, more space is needed now more than ever, as an investment in its youth and the community that it serves. The Family Center is projected to expand by 8,000 square feet. This expansion is part of the multi-faceted building project Lake Hills hopes to accomplish in the future.

The expanded Family Center will include a large assembly area, more recreational space, additional classrooms, and a snack/cafe area. The extra space will be a definite asset in meeting the needs of church families, the 80 young people who currently participate in the ALIVE Student Ministry and as a viable space to host various community events.

"The congregation at Lake Hills Baptist is fully behind and financially committed to what is expected to be a nine month project, with ground being broken in the next couple of weeks," Said Senior Pastor Phil Humber.
