The Lake Central Barracudas picked up a 97-89 victory over Valparaiso High School in Boys Swimming action Tuesday night. Each team won six events in the meet.
Lake Central saw victories in the 200 yard medlay relay, 200 yard freestyle relay, 50 yard freestyle, 1 mtr. diving, 100 yard backstroke and 100 yard breaststroke events, while Valpo was tops in the 200 yard IM, 100 yard butterfly, 100 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, 200 yard freestly and 400 yard freestyle relay events.
The Lake Central team of Connor Homans, Matt Applegate, Josh Barajas and Gavin Baisa won the 200 yard medlay relay while the Vikings' Tim Blue, Isaiah Parrish, Trevor Mahlmann and Andrew Antonetti were winners in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Lake Central also picked up a win in the girls swimming meet, defeating Valparaiso 133-50. The Barracudas finished first in all events, including the 200 yard medlay relay which featured Marina Vazquez, Brianna Shoemaker, Hailey Garlich and Jessica Lopez.
