“It was an enjoyable evening of baseball, networking and entertainment,” said Al Spajer, LAUW’s Campaign Chair for 2014-2015. “By popular demand, we brought this event back to U.S. Steelyard for a 2nd year. I think we created a fun, welcoming evening that expressed our thanks to our leadership donors for their support.” He added, “We were especially excited to again be invited by the Railcats organization to throw out the first pitch of the game, which also proved to be very entertaining.”

Lake Area United Way hosts several Vanguard events throughout the year. These events include breakfasts that feature high-profile speakers from the region who share their insights on various professional and personal development related topics, as well as unique after hours events in Lake County’s most desired venues.
