Krueger is Promoted to Sergeant in Cyber Crimes

Scot-KruegerIndiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter promoted Senior Trooper Scott Krueger to the rank of Sergeant to serve as the Special Investigation Command, Cyber Crime and Investigative Technologies Section for Area 1.

Sergeant Krueger is a native of Jasper County and a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School. He received an Associate’s Degree from Purdue University in Computer Graphics Technology and is currently completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Oakland City University.

In December 2000, Krueger graduated from the Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was assigned to the Lowell Post where he worked southern Lake, Newton and Jasper Counties. He was reassigned in 2004 to gaming as a detective until 2005 when he came back to the Lowell Post and worked Jasper and Newton Counties. In 2007, he was assigned temporary duty (TDY) to Criminal Investigation Division; and in 2008 went to the Gang Response Investigative Team (GRIT) where he served until now.

Krueger was on the Tactical Platoon Intervention and was a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). He is also the Area One Director for the Indiana State Police Alliance.

Area 1 covers Lowell, Lafayette and Peru Districts.

Sergeant Krueger resides in Jasper County with his family.
