Paint-Town-Pink-2017Join the City of Whiting for Paint the Town Pink 2017 in partnership with the Pink Ribbon Society. The entire month of May, community & businesses will once again come together for 4 events with 1 cause, helping raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer research.

Stomp out Cancer 5k
Saturday, May 13th
9 a.m. Registration
10 a.m. Start
Start Location: Oil City Stadium | Run/Walk follows the W/R Bike Trail

Stomp out Cancer by participating in this year’s Paint the Town Pink 5k Fun Run / Walk. Entry is $25 and includes a Stomp T-Shirt. In order to receive a t-shirt, you must pre-register by Friday, May 5th. Participants can register at the W/R Chamber of Commerce, 1417 119th Street, or online at www.Active.com.

Paint the Car at Cruise Night
Wednesday, May 17th
5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
119th Street, Downtown Whiting

Come out to Whiting’s Cruise Night between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to paint the car as a tribute to those fighting Breast Cancer, or who have lost their fight. Cost is $5 to paint your own message. Supplies are included.

“Not Your Mama’s Bunco Night”
Saturday, May 20th
7 p.m.
Center Lounge, 1312 119th Street

All you need to know if how to roll dice and have fun! It is $10 to play, a cash prize for 1st, raffles, and everyone is welcome.

Battin’ For Boobies Fundraiser Softball Game
Sunday, May 21st
12:30 p.m.
Whiting Little League Field

Support this year’s softball teams as they battle it out to raise money for Breast Cancer research. Spectators and fans are welcome to come cheer them on for free!

Game 1 - 12:30 p.m – Region Signs/Center Lounge vs People’s Bank
Game 2 - 1:30 p.m. – WPD/WFD vs YMCA
Championship Game - 3:00 p.m.

Look for PINK paint cans & ribbons in local businesses to donate. Let’s Beat Cancer!

Thank you in advance for your generous support. Money raised during our 2017 Paint the Town Pink events will be put toward the purchase of Northwest Indiana’s first mobile mammogram unit, as well as donated to the Pink Ribbon Society.
