John Mullin Given the Patron Award at Art After Dark Gala

chesterton-art-center-john-mullinAt the Chesterton Art Center’s 6th Annual Art After Dark Gala held at Sand Creek Country Club on November 7, John Mullin was awarded this year’s Patron Award for his many years of service to the Art Center. John has been President of the Center for over 20 years.

His leadership and foresight has kept the Art Center strong, healthy and vibrant for area artists as well as for the community as a whole. In addition to serving as President, he helps maintain the building, has taught many classes through the years, donates his signage talent to the Art Fair, and fills in wherever there is a need. John is an artist as well and is currently featured in a solo watercolor painting exhibit titled "Big Sur" at the Chesterton Art Center.

The Art After Dark Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Chesterton Art Center held on the first Friday of November each year. All monies raised at the event go towards art education programs at the Art Center. Donations are still being accepted and can be sent to the Chesterton Art Center, 115 S. 4th St., Chesterton IN 46304.
