Tuesday June 18th marked the inaugural broker open house at Preston Trails, a new subdivision in Portage. The McColly Real Estate New Homes Division hosted the event to showcase the brand-new, low-maintenance ranch-style homes that are set to make up the community.
Jennifer Karban, a broker at McColly, and the New Homes Liaison, is heading the project for McColly Real Estate.
"The location is perfect; it's tucked away across from some farmland yet remains close to Route Six, offering easy access to dining, entertainment, and shopping," Karban said. "The HOA provides services like snow removal and lawn care. Frankly, there aren't many communities like this in Portage, so there was definitely a need for it here. I'm excited that it's finally available."
The community features four home plans, ranging from approximately 1,200 square feet to about 1,800 square feet. There are two and three bedroom options to choose from, some with a flex space too.
The McColly New Homes Division, led by Heather McColly, is spearheading marketing efforts for Preston Trails to the broker community. McColly stressed the importance the brokerage places on educating and showcasing the division's communities to brokers from all companies. Dozens of brokers from around the Region toured the builds, enjoyed camaraderie and saw the location, which is right next to the heart of Portage.
One of the most important aspects emphasized is the convenience of options and finishes for the homes. Homes come standard with quartz kitchen countertops and luxury vinyl plank flooring.
McColly Real Estate also offers excellent resources for brokers. Chris Bolint, who is both a broker and a musician, has greatly benefited from their support and expertise. He has learned a lot from the resources provided by McColly, enhancing his professional endeavors. He shared his acoustic talents throughout the event.
“We have our corporate location in Schererville,” Bolint said. “I go there whenever they offer training courses. I'm always trying to learn, whether actively working with clients or studying on my own. McColly provides us with a wealth of resources; they're a great company, and I've enjoyed my time with them so far.”
The New Homes Division partnerships are a testament to the growth and bright future of Region communities.
