Indiana State Park Pass Available at the Crown Point Library

crown-point-libraryCrown Point and Winfield Branch Library patrons can now check out an Indiana State Park Pass at the Crown Point Library, and soon at its Winfield Branch Library.

The State Park Centennial Annual Pass Library Check-out Program is a partnership between Indiana State Parks and the Indiana State Library. The program celebrates both the state’s bicentennial and the 100th anniversary of the state park system. The Indiana State Library helped pay for the 240 passes being distributed to libraries across the state and hopes that it will encourage people to visit libraries and parks in 2016.

The Crown Point Community Library has ONE Indiana State Park Pass that can be checked out for up to seven days at a time. The pass can’t be renewed, and a $1 per day late fee will be assessed if the pass is not returned by the due date. If the pass is lost, the patron will be charged a $50 replacement fee, which is the cost of the annual pass.

This State Park pass provides access to Indiana’s 32 State Parks and State Reservoirs, or at any of the three State Forest Recreation Areas that charge entrance fees. More information about activities that are part of the State Parks Centennial Celebration can be found at www.INStateParks100.com
