Finding affordable, reliable and clean sources of energy is a task many Indiana businesses are facing in the midst of evolving federal regulations. To supply Hoosier business leaders with tactics for managing energy sources, the Indiana Chamber is hosting its 12th Annual Indiana Conference on Energy Management August 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis.
At the event, energy experts will tackle current issues during 18 sessions.
Dan Schmidt of the Pence administration will facilitate the August 12 discussion on the Governor’s energy plan, while Melissa Seymour, executive director at MISO, delivers the keynote the next day on discussing strategies for meeting future energy challenges.
Other speakers include Tom Easterday, executive vice president at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, and Rayola Dougher, senior economic advisor at American Petroleum Institute. Dougher will lead the closing luncheon with a presentation entitled, “Power & Politics: Navigating the Changing Vision of Our Energy Future?”
Additional sessions feature a panel discussion on energy efficiency and presentations on solar thermal for the 21st century and energy storage for a renewable generation.
Vendors from a variety of energy industries will take part in an expo August 12.
The cost to attend is $299 for Indiana Chamber members, $329 for non-members and $199 for government employees.
