Indiana Chamber September HR Seminars Will Offer Learning Opportunities

IndianaChamberLogo-3CIn the field of human resources, it is critical to remain up-to-date on policies and practices, which are constantly changing and evolving. HR professionals can gain information vital to managing employees by attending one or both of the upcoming seminars held by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

The Supervising and Managing People Workshop takes place on September 11-12; the Employee Benefits Seminar on September 17. Both events will be held at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis.

Topics covered at the Supervising & Managing People Workshop include: techniques for motivating people, coaching peak performance, managing for personal effectiveness and developing a personal plan for success. The seminar counts for 10 general hours of HR continuing education.

The Employee Benefits Seminar offers three sessions on the Affordable Care Act, one of which is a question and answer session. Other sessions will address issues such as data security for benefit plans and updating plan definitions of spouse. The seminar, presented by Ogletree Deakins, has been approved for 5.5 Human Resources recertification credit hours.

The cost to attend the Supervising & Managing People Workshop is $599 for Indiana Chamber members and $699 for non-members. The Employee Benefits Seminar is $299 for Indiana Chamber members and $329 for non-members. Group discounts are available for both events.
