One in ten Indiana college students finishes a two-year degree on time. Three in ten finish a four-year degree on time. Many of the students who don’t reach the finish line on time have academic, social or financial challenges that may have been avoided with more preparation.
That is why the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) is hosting a seminar to help educators, counselors, youth ministers, youth workers and parents learn how to help students stay on track and complete their degrees. IYI Northwest Indiana Outreach Manager Stephen Gill will show attendees how the Drive of Your Life and the Trip To College programs and tools can help students in middle and high school start planning their postsecondary futures today.
The forum will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the United Way of Porter County Conference Room at 951 Eastport Centre Drive, Valparaiso, 46383.
