Hebron High School art teacher Karen Jania won the American Legion Teacher of the Year award in Indianapolis on July 13. She lives in Griffith, Indiana.
Also, for District 2, which includes Lake and Porter Counties, all three district winners came from Hebron Schools: Joanne DeFries, K-5; and Traci Hall, 6-8.
