On July 1st, HealthLinc hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration of the opening of their new health care facility. HealthLinc provides to our community care services such as health and wellness education, prenatal care, wellness checks and immunizations, pharmacy services and much more.
Bob Franko, HealthLinc Board of Directors, expressed his excitement about the opening of the new facility. “This is really an exciting day and time, for not only the HealthLinc board but really for all of Porter County!”
Beth Wrobel, HealthLinc CEO, explained the future of health care at HealthLinc. “It’s about treating the whole body, whether it is physical, behavioral, oral or visual care, delivered in an integrated patient centered setting.”
Looking toward the future, Beth expects only the best to come from the new building. "This building will allow us to deliver high quality health care in a facility that is state of the art. We expect to see in the next 2 years, 11 thousand patients with over 60 visits in the clinic. "
"I would like to especially thank the staff, for all of their hard work over all of these years. It is simply a delight for me to share some time with HealthLinc and to represent all of those who have been so active in this regard. Going forth into today, tomorrow and next year, more people in Northwest Indiana are going to have access to good physical health care, good mental health care, and good dental health care,” said Congressman Peter Visclosky.
Valparaiso’s Mayor John Costas also is very thankful for the opportunity to build such an amazing facility. “I am thankful for all of the lives that will be enhanced, thousands of lives will be enhanced because of this building, because of these health care providers here today. And I am thrilled to see it come together so well."
HealthLinc would like to thank the Health Resources and Service Administration for its 5 million capital grant, the community of Valparaiso, the patients of HealthLinc, all of its donors for financial assistance and HealthLinc's dedicated employees, for without all of their effort, support and donations, the new facility would not have been possible.
