Hebron High School hosted the Hawk Classic this Wednesday. The teams included Winamac High School, South Bend Career Academy, Lake Station, Tri-County High School, Boone Grove High School, River Forest High School, Marquette High School, and Hebron High School.
In the first game of the night, Winamac competed against South Bend. Winamac began the game in the lead, finishing at the half with a close score of 21-18. In the third quarter, Winamac started to hit their stride, and won the game with an overall score of 56-43.
Lake Station faced off against Tri-County for the second game of the night. Lake Station took a strong lead from the beginning, winning with a score of 38-26 at half time. Lake Station kept their winning streak for the remainder of the game, and beat Tri-County with a score of 66-50.
Boone Grove played River Forest in the third game of the night, and showed a slight lead in the first quarter with a score of 14-8. Boone Grove continued to build their lead in the final half, winning with a score of 63-36.
For the final championship game, Marquette faced off against Hebron to determine the winner of the night. Marquette began in the lead with a score of 26-19 at the half. Marquette continued to grow their lead, and ended up as the champion with a final score of 63-40.
