Hanover Central Athletic Department to Particpate in “Jar Wars” for Red Circle Foundation

hanover-central-wildcatsDuring the month of September, the Hanover Central Athletic Department as well as all the other athletic departments in the Greater South Shore Conference will be doing a service project called "Jar Wars" in support of the Red Circle Foundation - www.redcirclefoundation.org. This project is not only a great way to hold a friendly competition between schools, but also to show the unified support that our conference schools have in giving to a tremendous and worth while cause.

The Red Circle Foundation is an organization that was started by Brandon Webb, former Navy Seal, when his best friend was killed in Benghazi. This foundation assists in providing support to families who have lost a loved one in the military by purchasing Christmas gifts, helping with medical care expenses as well as many other needs that families have incurred since their loss.

During the month of September, at all home high school and middle school athletic events, we will be collecting loose change that fans, parents and students may have on them in jars that will be located at the tickets tables and booths. At the end of the month, the GSSC will make a donation to the Red Circle Foundation for 100% of the profits taken in.

I am asking everyone who may be attending a Hanover Central athletic event during the month of September to find some of that loose change that is lying around and place it into the provided jars. Your contribution can go a long way in assisting the families of those men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

I thank you for your support and look forward to seeing everyone at our athletic events in the coming month.
