It’s almost that time of year again. Summer is just around the corner, and there’s no better way to get your child active and physically engaged then summer camp at the YMCA. Registration starts on May 15 and will continue through summer between the hours of 12 pm – 6:30 pm at the Crossroads YMCA – Hammond Branch. There will be a fee of $20 per child due at registration. The Summer Camp program will be open to children ages 5-14 who have already completed kindergarten.
This year, summer camp will offer participants a variety of activities in which to get involved. Campers can look forward to being a part of everything from arts and crafts classes, to swimming and numerous sports activities. There will also be opportunities to attend field trips.
“We want all of our campers to learn how to swim and learn how to save each other’s lives,” says Lake County Voucher Coordinator Cynthia Lewis. “All while making new friends for a lifetime.”
