Habitat to Announce Crown Point Faith Coalition

Habitat-for-HumanityHabitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana’s 2015 Build Season will include a new partnership agreement between local Crown Point churches. Three local churches will be coming together to help make history by partnering with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. This new partnership will be called the Crown Point Faith Coalition. Father Pat of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pastor Mark Wilkins of First United Methodist Church, and Pastor David Wood of First Presbyterian Church will be joining hands and hearts to reach out in a combined effort to help Habitat grow.

As part of the new Crown Point Faith Coalition, representatives from all three churches will sign a partnership agreement to support Habitat for Humanity’s Mission. This event will take place at 1818 West 58th Street in Merrillville, Indiana on Thursday, April 30th at 1:30PM.

Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana was formed in July 1986. As of April, 2015, there are 70 Habitat homes located in Lake County, Indiana. Building on donated land, with donated funds and constructed with volunteer labor, our mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities to those in need. Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
