Coverage Recap

On Saturday, March 16, Fort Wayne Wayne High School and Mishawaka High School squared off in the Class 4A North Semi-State and ended with a final score of 62-47 in favor of Wayne. The Generals managed to have a huge third quarter rally and overcome Mishawaka during the matchup.

TOP SCORERS:

  • Mishawaka: Brady Fisher - 15 points
  • Wayne: Chase Barnes - 23 points

Region Sports Update

Congratulations to Emarion Hodgson of Michigan City High School for signing the national letter of intent to continue his football and academic career at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. 

Congratulations to Marshall Kmiecik of New Prairie High School on signing to continue his academic and athletic careers at Franklin College. 

Congratulations to Jack Harris of Hobart High School on signing to continue his academic and athletic careers at Anderson University.

Congratulations to Valparaiso Boys Basketball Player Jack Smiley on being named the Duneland Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player.

Smiley averaged 23.8ppg, 6.1rpg, and 5.9apg for the Vikings this season.

As spring sports begin, the team here at GreatNews.Life could not be more excited to watch the Region flourish!
