Girls on the Run donates to fire department

Yost Elementary third and fourth graders that belong to the Girls on the Run team organized a community service project at the school collecting over 800 items to help the Chesterton Fire Department (CFD) meet their donation goal for the 500 Turkeys food drive.

Girls on the Run is a North American non-profit program that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k run.
