The Gary Police Department will host another Gun Buy Back on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 6 local churches from 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. In addition to receiving a Wal-Mart gift card for turning in weapons, the first 50 people will receive a GED testing voucher.
“We wanted to offer something more for those who want to complete a milestone in their education,” said Freeman-Wilson. “This special initiative allows us to get guns off the streets and help people get closer to gainful employment by helping them obtain their GED.”
