Just in time for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on January 9, the Gary Police Department recently unveiled four 2015 Dodge Chargers to add to its fleet.
“This is a great way to start off the New Year,” said Police Chief Larry McKinley. “It is our goal to gradually add new vehicles to our fleet and phase out some of the older models as funds become available.”
The new vehicles are all black with a grey “GPD” decal. Each car is fully loaded with a state-of-the-art, computerized dashboard, traffic radar system and LED lights.
McKinley stated that several Ford Explorers will be added to the fleet early spring.
