The Gary Fire Department is recognizing Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9-11 with “Fire Safety First” sessions for youth ages 6-12. Each session will be held at the Hudson and Campbell Fitness Center, 455 Massachusetts St., and can accommodate up to 35 youth.
Sessions must be scheduled by appointment, and each lasts approximately an hour and a half. Children should come dressed to participate in activities. To schedule an appointment, call Lt. Sandra McGuire at (219) 881-5252.
