Four Winds Casinos’ Yacht Rock Pool Party was the most recent in a series of parties that the casino is hosting on its pool patio. Guests spend their time dancing, laughing, drinking, and having a good time.
Around the patio has a bar and stage with a fire pit and chairs to lounge in. The bar is fully stocked with people surrounding it to prove it.
The music combined with the sunset and a breeze coming from the casino’s surrounding fauna created a feeling of serenity that was to later turn into a party without comparison.
“We started throwing these theme parties when our pool bar and pool patio opened in 2016,” said Jason George, director of entertainment at Four Winds Casinos. “We hosted ‘South of Disorder,’ a Jimmy Buffet-tribute band, as our first pool party long before the stage was built. We started hosting acoustic entertainment at the pool in 2017, and bands arrived in 2018 once the stage had been built.”
The pool parties occur monthly with different bands that correspond to the party’s theme. At the Yacht Rock Pool Party, the band EZFM played on the stage while a crowd gathered and danced to the music. Four Winds Casinos’ Glow In the Dark Party is coming up in July with music set to play by Dick Diamond and The Dusters.
“The Glow In the Dark Party is always one of our favorites to present; it seems to get bigger and better every year,” said George. “This year, the entire pool patio will be glowing in black lights and we will be providing free black-light paint pens to the first 100 guests!”
The bands and decorations are not the only items that are on point for the theme; the drinks were corresponding as well. Each party has drink specials that coincide with the party itself. The Yacht Rock Pool Party had drinks called “Sea Breeze,” “Fun with the Captain,” and “Dark and Stormy.”
Ideas for each party are developed by George, and while his ideas are good, it takes a team to create a party so elaborate and well-detailed. Considering Four Winds Casinos creates parties like Friday night’sonce a month throughout the summer, they are likely to only get even more unique.
“The parties are really a chance for us to show off how beautiful the pool bar, pool stage, and pool patios to our guests,” George said. “Four Winds is your entertainment escape, and this is another fun offering that brings vibrancy to the property for our guests.”
More and more people came from the surrounding area or from their rooms in the hotel throughout the evening to get in on the fun. Every type of person was represented on the patio, from a posse of bridesmaids with the bride leading the pack, to a man who was using the party’s energy to write his screenplay.
“We are so excited to be able to bring these parties back in full force, bigger and better than ever before since the pandemic,” George said.
After a year of missing out on parties, an outdoor event is a perfect way to get back into night life, and Four Winds Casinos is ready to help make that happen. With music, drinks, and good company, these parties are sure to be a blast this summer.
