“We’re kicking off Pride Month at Four Winds with a free outdoor drag party at our pool stage, open to the public,” said Jason George, Talent Buyer and Director of Entertainment for Four Winds Casinos. “We have a wonderful lineup of fabulous drag queens interwoven with beats from DJ H2. We’re creating a vibrant, inclusive party atmosphere that everyone is invited to.”

Four Winds New Buffalo kicked off Pride Weekend on Saturday, June 7 with the free “Drag Me to the Pool” party at its outdoor pool stage, located behind the casino and accessible through Kankakee Grille.

From 9 p.m. to midnight, guests 21 and older enjoyed high-energy performances by Chicago drag artists Jazzelle Boyette, Kitt St. Clair and Muffy Vanderbilt, along with live music, featured cocktails from the pool bar, vibrant lighting and lively crowd interaction and photo-ops.

“Ultimately, we see it as a weekend of celebration and inclusiveness,” said George. “We welcome everyone to enjoy fierce talent, great food and maybe a few great drinks too.”

Following suit on Sunday, June 8 was the annual “Drag Me To Brunch” at Silver Creek Event Center. Doors opened at 10 a.m. with a show starting at 11 a.m.

The event featured performances by Chicago-based drag artists, also including Seymour Chilton and Ana Crusis. Tickets were priced at $65, which included access to a brunch buffet featuring a pasta and omelet bar, and a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes. Attendees could enjoy mimosa and Bloody Mary specials from the full bar, all in honor of Pride Month.

“The drag brunch has sold out every year, so we thought, ‘Why not make a whole weekend of it?’” said George. “We want this to be something the public and the LGBTQ+ community can count on—and we want to keep growing it year after year.”

Open to the public and inclusive to all, the Pride Party served as a vibrant reminder of Four Winds Casinos’ commitment to community, diversity and celebration. With a promise of entertainment and hospitality, the event is intended to continue in the future as a fun and meaningful experience in honor of Pride Month.
