Erin Gavelek Named Girls’ JV Soccer Coach at Lowell High School

Soccer-ball-grassThe Lowell High School Athletic Department has announced that Erin Gavelek will join the high school as the JV coach of the girls’ soccer program. Gavelek has participated in soccer programs as both a player and a coach over the years. She had an extremely successful soccer career at Lowell High School including, 4- year varsity player, 3-year captain, Most Valuable Player, Mental Attitude Award, NCC 1st Team, 1st Team All-District, and All-Area Team. Gavelek also served on the L-Club Leadership Council and received the L-Club Leadership Award.

She graduated from Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts where she was recruited by the Division 1 University to play soccer and received a degree in Marketing.

Academics proved to be a focus for Gavelek in both high school and college. Not only was she a Scholar Athlete at LHS, she was a Top Ten Scholar, as well. While in college, she also received Academic Honors.

Gavelek has served as a volunteer coach for a Lowell Travel Club.
