Words like dedication, expertise, passion, and excellence – among many others – were used to describe the three employees recognized as team members of the year at Northwest Health – Porter last week.
Each year, the hospital names a Team Member of the Year, Clinical Manager of the Year, and Non-Clinical Manager of the Year. These employees play an important role in delivering quality care and creating the best possible experience for our patients. Honorees exemplify the best of who we are as healthcare providers through their dedication to our patients and their colleagues.
This year’s honorees are:
Team Member of the Year
Alex Uthuppan, ARRT (N)
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Uthuppan has been with the hospital for 26 years, delivering excellent care. In addition to his nuclear medicine expertise, he is known for his professional and kind demeanor. The hospital regularly receives compliments about him from his patients and their family members. He helps them feel at ease, showing compassion and empathy.
Clinical Leader of the Year
Tamica Davis, MSN, RN
Director, Progressive Care, Orthopedics, Oncology and Med-Surg
Davis’s clinical expertise and outstanding leadership skills are appreciated by her staff. She leads some of the busiest nursing units at the hospital while staying engaged with her staff and patients to focus on quality patient outcomes and service. She hold herself and her staff to high standards, going above and beyond to provide support.
Non-clinical Leader of the Year
Glenda Dunkel
Director, Patient Access
Dunkel is responsible for the Patient Access services at Northwest Health – Porter and each of its outpatient centers. She is an exceptional leader, engaging with her staff at every location. She is known to jump in to help staff by working alongside them, and is always available to answer questions and provide direction.
