Duneland School Corporation 2019-2020 registration information

Registration Information for Returning Students

Beginning on Monday, July 15, 2019, parents of all returning Duneland School students may register their children online using the Parent Access Portal. Online payments will be available for grades K-6 only on Monday, July 15. Due to potential student schedule changes, online payments for grades 7-12 will be available beginning on Monday, Sept. 16.

Returning students that are transitioning to a new building will not need to provide proof of residency.

Returning students whose residence has changed within the district will need to attend single-site registration, unless proof of residency was provided to the school at the time of the move. If your current address does not match the address in your Skyward Parent Portal, you must provide proof of residency at single-site registration.

Please Note: If you are the parent of a current Duneland student and wish to enroll an additional student for the first time (for example, a kindergarten student), please log in to your Skyward parent account before completing the application.  Look for the "New Student Application" button on the top left. This will help ensure that your new student account will be linked with your parent account.

Curricular fees are payable through Revtrak in your Skyward Parent Portal. Parents are encouraged to pay school fees online when registering.  For grades K-6 online payments will also be available on Monday, July 15. Due to potential student schedule changes, online payments for grades 7-12 will be available beginning on Monday, Sept. 16. For individuals that must pay by check or cash will need to make arrangements to pay their fees at their child’s school.  (School offices are scheduled to reopen on July 29, 2019.)

Fees for Curricular Materials & Instructional Supplies for the 2019-2020 school year are Kindergarten/$116.82; grade 1/$147.20; grade 2/$126.08; grade 3/$138.16; grade 4/$130.15; grade 5/$109.40; grade 6/$117.05.  Fees for middle and high school vary according to scheduled classes. Information and an application for free and reduced meals, free curricular materials and instructional supplies are available on the Duneland Schools website at www.duneland.k12.in.us

Single-Site Registration - The Duneland Schools will have a single-site registration location for all NEW students and students whose residence within the district has changed since they last enrolled in school. On July 23-25, all NEW students entering any of the Duneland Schools must register their child(ren) in person at Chesterton High School. Parents will need to provide proof of residency (see required documentation below). Parents of NEW students may begin the enrollment/registration process by completing the online application on the Enrollment/Registration page of our website. Parents who are unable to attend the single-site registration should contact the school their child will attend for more information on completing the registration process.

NEW Kindergarten students whose parent/guardian attended Kindergarten Round-Up do not need to attend Single-Site Registration if they completed the New ‘Online’ Student Application, supplied all the necessary required documents at Round-Up and received an email with their Parent Access credentials. Please login to your Parent Access Portal on or after Monday, July 15 to review the student information and submit your child’s registration.

A birth certificate, not a hospital certificate, must be presented at registration.

•       For information about the minimum immunization requirements, visit Health Services on the Duneland School Corporation website at https://www.duneland.k12.in.us/Page/190. Parents of all students should review their child's immunization record now to make sure that they are up to date with immunization requirements prior to entering school.

Please contact your physician to update your child's immunization status or contact the Porter County Health Department at 465-3525.
