Chesterton Art Fair
August 2nd & 3rd

The Chesterton Art Fair will be held Aug. 2-3, from 10-5 at Hawthorne Park in Porter, IN. The event will include over 90 artists from the Midwest and beyond, displaying their work in a great variety of mediums. Along with lots of unique artwork, guests will be able to enjoy the food and drink stations, the children's art tent, and music from the Golden Fingers Ukelele Band. Register now for the 2014 Duneland Y annual golf outing being held at The Brassie Golf Club. Golfers will be treated to lunch served by The Brassie on the grill, Rolling Stonebaker Pizza at the conclusion of the game and refreshments throughout the day. Cost for the day is $100 per golfer and hole sponsorship is only $100 as well. All proceeds for the golf outing benefit the Y Scholarship Fund that helps provide families with before and after school child care, pre-school, memberships, sports programs and summer day camp.

In this hands-on class you will learn pressure canning basics. Join class instructors Roberta Mead and Barb Blake, each having over 35 years of traditional food preservation history. You will learn equipment required for pressure canning, basic canning techniques with step-by-step, hands-on, visual instructions including printed materials and resources for where to purchase canning supplies and local produce. $20 for the class which includes one preserved item. Purdue North Central
Accepting MBA Registrations

Purdue University North Central is accepting registrations from students interested in earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Classes will begin Sept. 6. Prospective students still have time to begin the admissions process. Deadline for admission is Aug. 6. Students, regardless of their baccalaureate field will be able to complete a degree in less than two years. Classes will meet on Saturdays at PNC - Porter County, at 600 Vale Park Road, Valparaiso. All faculty members are certified by the Graduate School in West Lafayette and are supported by the full teaching resources of Purdue University.
