Dr. Khan, who spent 30 years with the hospital, will serve in a part-time, fill-in role at Franciscan Alliance hospitals and spend the remainder of his time traveling overseas and enjoying his family, including three grandchildren. “Kids are fun; grandkids are grand fun,” he said. Khan said he will “always cherish” the hospital’s medical staff and patients.

“This is the best hospital to work with,” he said, adding, “We always offered the latest equipment. If there was new technology out there, we always got it here.” He is shown with Virag Dandekar, MD, the hospital’s new medical director of radiation oncology.
