Cruising into fall at Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso

Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso welcomed fellow Harley enthusiasts and the fall season with open doors on Saturday at its Sips of Fall event.

Anyone who stopped by was invited to celebrate the beautiful and sunny fall weather with hot dogs and samples of a variety of seasonal beers.

Bikers had the chance to show off their own rides while they checked out Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso’s impressive new line of apparel, bike accessories, and of course, the 2020 Harley-Davison motorcycle models.

Dozens of riders and other members of the community came out to eat, shop, relax, and take their shot at a chance to win a plasma screen TV by testing their football throwing skills.

“We wanted to give people a chance to come out and enjoy fall and the store while taking a look at all of the bikes and getting all of their warm gear,” said Ginger Misch, motor clothes and events manager of Harley-Davidson Valparaiso. “We have a lot of good Christmas gift ideas for people.”

Community is important to all of the staff members of Harley- Davidson Valparaiso. They make sure to provide a welcoming environment for all who walk through the store’s doors and encourage curious new visitors to jump in and see what biking life is all about.

“We are trying to get more people involved in the Harley-Davidson community, whether that be through the clothing or bikes. Reaching out and getting involved with the community is a great way to do so,” said Jeff Haggerty, General Manager of Harley-Davidson Valparaiso. “It is a chance to get people outside of their normal routine and experience something different here.”

Not only did the atmosphere bring in seasoned bikers, but it also attracted potential new riders. Anne Prokuski, a customer shopping around with her family, was a newcomer to the Harley-Davidson life and is interested in becoming a regular after Saturday.

“This is my first time in a Harley-Davidson store, it was a beautiful day and we wanted to see what bikes we could find,” Prokuski said. “It’s a nice environment; the people seem very friendly, and we were able to find a bike that we liked. It’s a beautiful day and the perfect season to go road tripping on a bike.”
