Crown Point High School Receives 2015 All Music Award

Crown-Point-2015-ISSMA-01The music department at Crown Point High School once again had another highly successful school year. The CPHS Band, Orchestra and Choir all had many students that received gold medals at the ISSMA regional competition which qualified them for the ISSMA State competition. The CPHS choral department had 2 ensembles and 9 soloists that all received a gold medal ranking at State. The Band came back from State with 15 gold medals.

The orchestra had 24 soloist and 6 ensembles and came back with the total of 45 gold medals from State. In additional to their remarkable performances at ISSMA State Competition, the music department was a recipient of the Indiana State School Music Association All-Music Award for the 2014-2015 school year. Crown Point High School is one of only thirteen high schools in Indiana to receive a Total Department Award. To recognize this outstanding achievement, ISSMA presented the music department with a special banner to display at CPHS.
