Crown Point Community Foundation Announces New President in 2016

Nielsen, recently chosen as Pat Huber’s successor as President of the Crown Point Community Foundation (CPCF). She is responsible in providing professional leadership and assistance to the officers and Board of Directors and overseeing the growth and development of the Foundation.

Mary brings to this position more than 27 years of impressive business leadership experience, a strong history of community and industry involvement, and a great desire to carry out the mission of the CPCF; improving the quality of life of all who live in Crown Point and South Lake County.

Mary previously served in leadership positions within the Burrell Professional Labs network, including Director of Business Development and Director of Marketing & Sales; she also served as the Director of Marketing & Merchandising for the 22 Chicagoland area Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N Bake Pizza operation. Mary has served in volunteer and board positions for the St. Jude House; Bethel Church; Lake County Animal Control; Crown Point Schools; Meals on Wheels; Catholic Charities; area Chambers of Commerce; Association of Professional Color Imagers; and the Professional Marketing Association International.

Mary is a graduate of Crown Point High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Consumer Psychology from the University of South Florida, Tampa. She lives in Crown Point with her husband Keith, and daughters Kirsten and Kaelin. In her free time, Mary likes to spend time with family and friends, being outdoors, playing golf, bike riding, and anything water related.
